Stewards Report About How We Came To Have a 2 Horse Race at Townsville on Thursday

Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding the scratching of SCARLENA and GONE COUNTRY, both trained by Ms. Georgie Holt, from Race 1, which resulted in the field for this race being reduced to two runners.
Ms. Holt advised that her original intention had been to start SCARLENA and GONE COUNTRY at the Townsville meeting on 19th February, before giving them a break from the meeting conducted on 27 February, and then start them again at today’s meeting.
