For the second year in a row the returns from Queensland greyhound racing have markedly outstripped that of the other two codes, with this year’s $54.5 million profit taking the code’s net earnings over the past two years to almost $100 million, a remarkable result given that the sport has total revenues of less than a third that enjoyed by the thoroughbred code, which made only $15.6 million from TAB racing.
