Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
We’ve managed to get a partial copy of the Globe Derby (SAHRC) annual report, and the picture is dire. The club has lost more than $800 000 in the past year. That takes it losses over the last 2 years to almost a million dollars. It has just under $1.8 million in cash, but owes […]
I am sure that this gallop at the start by the $1.20 favourite Take My Wallet in the 2nd race at Globe Derby on Monday was nt a piss take by the connections. Plain bad luck it was, I’m sure. Just as I am sure that the horse coming to the Aaron Bain stable with […]
Kevin Seymour lent the Globe Derby club $3.5 million to survive. The idea was that the club would pay it’s debts and use the remaining funds to revamp its dining facilities, make the necessary upgrades to it’s gaming areas to make them attractive to the locals, and market the hell out of them both, so […]
See the bikeway next to the track that Peter Bain built? The Stuart O’Grady Cycleway. O’Grady was a self professed EPO cheat. The cycleway is currently closed. Life imitates art.
Gee, do you wonder why the Stewards are inquiring into Dani Hill’s drive on the second favourite Lovelorn? I don’t. It is in the purple with white, sitting in the 1-1 as they approach the bell. D. Hill drove this to full advantage didn’t she? Not. Let’s see if the SA Stewards have any balls. […]

Current bookmakers South Australia https://www.cbs.sa.gov.au/sites/default/files/current-bookmakers-and-agents.pdf A bookie can be a board member of a harness racing club. A trot trainer or driver can too. But how can a bookie be a trainer or driver? How can a trainer or driver be a bookie? They can’t of course, or shouldn’t anyway, for it cuts to the […]
This is a letter that retiring Gawler Harness Racing Club board member Jeremy Seal has sent to all members of the club. It is a load of bollocks. I will tell you why after you read it. Click below to do so. JEREMY SEAL LETTER
So this is the version of events that Jeremy Seal would have you believe. Summit Bloodstock’s man Aaron Bain’s dad Peter, the Chairman of the Gawler Harness Racing Club, is, like Flash Gordon, the saviour of the universe. Bain’s mates and allies on the board Peter Ashby, Garry Connor and Phil Houston are too. Without them, […]
