Don’t Ever Think That Chris Munce Wasn’t Guilty in Hong Kong – He Nodded His Head 36 Times

Munce leaves Sydney’s Silverwater jail in 2008 accompanied by Junior, a top bloke from Nudgee named Peter Van REDACTED, who played front row for Norths just 2 years after switching over from soccer at SP bookie Bobby Bax’s urgings. He was a great footy coach Bob, and a superb judge. My Uncle Bert used to be his minder and collector back in the days when Baxy operated out of former ALP Treasurer Damian Power’s grand-dad’s pub the Royal Hotel at Nundah, where I used to sit on the stairs drinking pink lemonades until my grandad knocked off his wages and we jumped the train home to Virginia. Junior later became the union delegate at QLD Rail when I was the organiser. Like I said, he’s a top bloke. Loyal to his mates too. Muncy was his best mate, and no doubt still is.

Jockey Chris Munce disqualifed by HKJC until September 2009
