The Snatching of Boardshorts Mick

Boardshorts Mick is a TAB agent from the Gold Coast.

On a Friday he tips horses on the radio, although not very successfully.

Mick is also a commission agent.

A commission agent is a person who puts bets on for others with bookmakers at the races.

Recently Boardshorts Mick has been placing wagers with the few satchel swingers left at Brisbane race tracks for a well known Sydney bookie.

Apparently Mick has been a bit short when it comes to settling time.

It’s not that he is a non payer, or at least that is how the story goes.

Boardshorts Mick has been the victim of a most unfortunate series of events.

Robberies in fact, or alleged fact at least.

They say – or he says – that Mick has been twice snatched outside the gates of Eagle Farm, near the child care centre, and relieved of ten grand on each occasion.

Twenty Grand Mick.

Oh well, we all know that child care centres, just like Gold Coast TAB’s, by law have to have CCTV cameras installed, facing at all different angles, including outside.

I’m sure the cameras will capture footage of the robberies, and assist the constabulary to apprehend the snatcher.

All it will take now is Boardshorts Mick to tell the coppers the time of the snatches, and the Con will be over.

C’mon Mick.

Do tell.
