The Queensland Racing Commission Agents – QRIC’s New Name

Earlier in the week we wrote about the outrageous form reversal of the Chris Waller trained Merimee, the horse who went from winning like Winx at a Saturday metro meeting in Brisbane to running second last in a race several grades lower on Wednesday at the Sunshine Coast.

As you can see from the fluctuations at the top, Merimee blew like a gale in that race, from $1.35 out to $2.00.

The Robert Heathcote trained winner was backed for a stack, from $10.00 into $3.40.

If ever there was a clear cut case to call two trainers and their jockeys into the room to please explain, it was this one.

To do otherwise would be a dereliction of a Stewards duty, and would severely dent public confidence in the integrity of Queensland racing, if there is still any left.

The official Stewards Report into the race was for unknown reasons inexplicably delayed.

It has been released now.

So what did the QRIC Stewards do to get to the bottom of this deeply suspicious form reversal replete with plunges and alarming betting drifts?

Nothing.

Not a bloody thing.

There is no such thing as integrity in Queensland racing under the current buffoon of poor excuse for a Chief Steward Peter Chadwick.

This bloke should be sacked on the spot.

The former Chief Alan Reardon was right in his comments when Chadwick was appointed.

We should drop the Integrity bit because it’s a lie.

Just call it the Queensland Racing Commission instead.

And maybe put the word ‘Agents’ on the end.

Queensland Racing Commission Agents.

If the shoe fits, wear it.
