Jimmy Orman will be in the good books with his mum Carolyn Allardyce right now (not that he ever isn't) after booting home her 7yo galloper Beat The Rap at Eagle Farm this afternoon.

Beat the Rap was a $30 000 buy at the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale, but hadn't appeared on a race track until just last month, when he ran 3rd on debut at Ipswich on a dead (soft 5) track, before following that up with second  three weeks go ate the same track, again on a dead surface.
