Queenslanders of a certain age will well remember the Iwasaki Resort at Yeppoon, mainly due to Mr Iwasaki paying Joh Bjelke-Peterson bribes to get it off the ground, and because environmental activists who opposed the building of it in the 1980’s burnt it down.
