Some Arguments You Just Can’t Win – Mainly Because You Are Wrong

Excited about the brilliance, strength and courage of Zac Lloyd's winning ride, I messaged the following about him to my mate, whose opinion I respect.

I reckon he is very, very close to McDonald

In ability and everything else

Total professionals

My mate replied in a totally respectful tone that only amplified the fact that he thought I was absolute idiot.

Perhaps I am too.

This is what he said.

There's a huge gap at this stage. No one comes near McDonald.

Zac has won 6 group ones. McDonald is over 100.

Then he checked.

And replied.

136 for McDonald. Says it all. Only 130 more than Zac

The only thing missing was the exclamation mark at the end.

I stand defeated.

Some arguments you just can't win.

Mainly because you are wrong.
