Dear Lawyer Gillette
19 days have elapsed since I requested further particulars from your client about their Concerns Notice you SLAPPed* on me in late July.
You have not replied.
Given that the Defamation Act – with which you appear to be unfamiliar – allows you a maximum of 14 days to provide these particulars or you are taken not to have given me and this unknown Brendan Sheehan character a concerns notice for the purposes of the Act and your claim, should I take it that your dog doping trainer clients are no longer pursuing their foreshadowed action?
Please do tell, for I can’t sleep at night worrying about it, and my wife Maggie reckons it’s causing me to get black bags under my eyes, which she doesn’t like because she says it’makes me look like I’ve singed myself again (it’s a long story).
If they are not, then please advise where I should send the itemised bill for all of my time your clients have wasted by me having to respond to the Hall’s drivel.
Happy Saturday.
By the way, here are a couple of tips if you are looking to earn an easy quid.
Hastings race 9 no 7 Sharp and Smart each-way.
Melton Trots race 1 no 5 The Real Sherlock.
Good luck and have a winning day.
And Godot bless.
The Reverend Archibald Butterly
