How Can You Watch a Live Fight on a Weekend, When it Was Fought on a Wednesday?

Just in case anyone doubts my previous story, here is the proof.

Do you reckon the witness might be lying?

Me thinks he is.

Here is the transcript of Silkman’s testimony yesterday.

Oh my goodness.

Don’t the police check such things before charging people with murder?

Obviously not.

————————————————-

How many days do you say that you were on the Gold Coast that period of time?

It was only three or four days, I think, at the time, and left on the Friday and come back on the Monday, or come back on the Sunday, or, you know. It was three or four days.  That was all it was, that I can recall.

You talked this morning about your time up in the Gold Coast. You said that you saw Chris Dawson and Paul Dawson during the 1975 trip during the period of time that you were on the Gold Coast?

That’s correct.

Where do you say that you saw them?

On the plane going up; at where we stayed, Tiki Village; on the beach, we were all there as a football team, a trip away.

So when you were on that trip and stayed at the Tiki Village you’ve told us it was, as I understand it, Cavill Avenue towards the river?

Yeah, yeah. The Tiki Village is down ‑ it’s the main street that goes from the river right up to the beach.  And I’m pretty sure it’s called Cavill.

Do you know that the beer garden, is that where you saw the game that you say Mohammad, the fight, Mohammad Ali and Joe Frazier fight?

That’s correct.

Editor’s note

No it’s not.

It is anything but correct.

Oops.

Never tell a lie.

They always come back to haunt you.
