Unfortunately the ‘flu took its toll on a few of our travelers today, so it was lucky we had some down time in New York for them to recover.

The others went for a wander through the Big Apple!!

First stop, Time Square for a bit of people watching!!

Then onto the famous Jewellers Row, for a bit of diamond gazing!!

Square ring up the back worth a cool $2.5 million!
And that window worth a whooping $100 million!!!

Rolex’s everywhere!!
On the Sixth Avenue, for a stop at Sacs to see how the other half live!

Ah just saying, Ian’s hat . . .a cool $650 USD!!

A stop at the beautiful St Patrick’s . . .

Home Alone fans . . .

Then a walk along Central Park, to The Met!

Have to sit on the the stairs, aka Gossip Girl!!

No Van Gogh’s . . . but did pick up a bargain from a lesser known artist . . .

Then it was off to the Ball game at the wold famous Yankee Stadium . . . with 50,000 other people!!

The subway on the way there was an adventure!!

The crowd and atmosphere were amazing . . . it’s just a shame that the Yankees didn’t deliver!!

The Yankees were 3 to 0 down in the 7th . . . and had two on bases, with their best hitter on the night up . . .  this guy coulda (shoulda!!) won them the game.

But four fouls later . . . it was not to be!!

Col got the run down on the team performance and the state of Brooklyn from his mate on the train home

Before it was off for ice cream sundaes to end off a cracker day and night!!
