Central QLD stable hand (or trackwork rider, there appears to be some confusion as to which) Chris Wearne’s appeal against his 16 month disqualification for animal cruelty rule breach offences was heard yesterday by the QLD Racing Appeals Panel sans its leader Justice Kerry O’Brien, who is presumably enjoying an Easter break.
