KINGMAKER NZ– Caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1900 metres. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver Luke McCarthy with regards to the performance of the gelding which tired over the final stages of the event to finish in 10th placing beaten 40 metres.
