I’m a massive fan of jumps racing and always have been, but when you have seven horses die during the relatively short jumps racing season and three perish on the showpiece final day, plus a jockey in intensive care wife life shattering head injuries, it’s becoming hard to the point of impossible to mount an argument as to why racing over the sticks should be allowed to continue.
