EXCLUSIVE: Green Light Scandal? – No, This One is Flashing Red

Stewards considered the serious consequences of the shift from MAGICIAN, that being that the interference to MAYLEEJAE EAGLE which resulted in the gelding falling clearly prejudiced its chances and therefore invoked AHRR 66(g), the pertinent part of the rule being that a horse may be disqualified from a race or placed in a lower finishing position in a race if the horse being in the home straight and having a clear interrupted run to the post, changes course and thereby prejudices or disadvantages the chances of another runner.

How does a horse clearly prejudice another runner on it’s direct outside’s chances of winning by causing interference that makes it fall, and survive a protest?

How does the same horse get relegated to behind the protesting horse for the same egregious rule breach offence?

How does the driver of the horse that caused the interference escape any sanction at all, not even a reprimand?

Because the Chief Steward in charge has been bribed with a share of the winnings.

That’s how.

Green light scandal?

No.

We are in Tasmania now.

This one is flashing red.
