Dear Mr Crews,

In accordance with Rule 19(c)(i) and (ii) of the Victorian Harness Racing Club Inc (VHRC) Constitution, you are required to attend a disciplinary hearing of the VHRC or to provide a written statement to the disciplinary subcommittee at any time before the hearing.

Rule 19(c) refers to a person who engages in conduct unbecoming a member, or conduct prejudicial to the Club or the sport of harness racing.

You may also attend the hearing in person as well as provide a written submission. This hearing will be held on Tuesday 26 October 2021 at 4.00pm. Zoom details will be provided to you approximately 2 days prior to the hearing.

At this hearing you will be required to show cause as to why you should not be expelled from the VHRC and disqualified from holding any VHRC office for a period of 5 years, and to provide an explanation to the disciplinary sub-committee as to why you have released into the public domain private and confidential employee information (being the draft employment agreement between VHRC and Kelly Ternouth), and confidential financial information of the VHRC Board which has been published on social media platforms.

In addition, the Board requires confirmation from you as to what other information has been passed to third parties (and the names of those third parties) without Board permission.

Any decision of the disciplinary subcommittee following this hearing may be appealed by you under the provisions of Rule 23.
