Perhaps Lazarus Hasn’t Risen From the Dead at All

Hi Archie,

Just a "cold spoon" applicator for Lazarus.

Attached (pictured at the top) is a list of all the stallions whose progeny are eligible to
race in the NJSS in 2022.

Virtually no opposition is there?

So in the eight $30,000 NJSS divisions (4 colts, 4 fillies) thus far Lazarus has sired every
starter bar one - Ucandoit Blue Chip - and it won twice.

That means that of the $240,000 on offer, Lazarus' progeny won $210,000.

Similarly in the two $240,000 finals Lazarus had all runners except one - Ucandoit Blue Chip
(who won).

That means that of the $480,000 on offer Lazarus' progeny won $360,000.

All up Lazarus' progeny have won a total $570,000 in a small sandpit with virtually no
opposition.

As of today Lazarus' 2YO's have won $603,599 - ONLY $33,599 in open competition.

Let's wait a while to see how they go in the International, Bluegrass, Metro, Breeders Crown.

The stud fees are interesting aren't they?

The bottom three are trotting sires, leaving Lazarus as the only pacing sire with a service
fee of higher than $2500, in a game where value and quality are expressed by price.

Cheers

Editor's note - I accept that there was no real competition, or really any at all. But the
times that Laz's kids are winning in suggest that he has a real chance of succeeding as a
sire. These are very interesting stats though. Maybe he will simply come crashing back to
earth when the unrestricted races commence.
